todays diary

Breakfast - really disorganised and couldn't decide what to have, so didn't have anything.  Went to church, then for a walk and was absolutely starving so had a very large portion of ...


Sushi - the exact one I had isn't on syns online.  The large tesco box is only 4.5syns, but the M&S 320g one is a whopping 11.5!  I shall reluctantly go for the latter in order to err on the side of caution - lunch = 11.5.

Snack - mullerlight yogurt (0syns)

Dinner - salmon, new potatoes, beetroot, mango and lots of salad dressed with a few drops of balsamic.  Activia yogurt and a bowl of melon chunks for afters.

Total for the day 11.5 syns - hurrah!

food diary - tallying up some syns...

Breakfast - 2xslices wholemeal bread, scrambled eggs (3 eggs), 1 tbsp tomato ketchup (1syn) and 1 tsp butter (2 syns)
Breakfast = 3 syns in total.

Lunch - Crab and rice noodle salad - dressing = juice of 1 lime mixed with grated garlic and ginger, splash of nam pla, half a finely chopped chilli, 1 tsp agave nectar (0.5 syns) with grated carrot, chopped sugar snap peas. 1 weight watchers fromage frais (1 syn).
Lunch =  1.5 syns in total. 

So I have about 10 syns to play with for the rest of the day if I need them, though I'm trying not to eat them for the sake of it.

Ryvitas with smoked mackerel pate and cottage cheese

Lettuce, tomato and cucumber salad with carrot sticks with smoked mackerel pate (4 syns), fat free cottage cheese with chives and three ryvitas (1 syn as I've counted 2 of them as a HEXB along with this morning's slice of toast).  Chunks of fresh pineapple for afters.

Smoked mackerel pate recipe is very easy and completely delicious - 200g packed of smoked mackerel blitzed in the processor with lemon juice and quark to taste. About 8 syns for the whole lot - half is in the fridge for lunch tomorrow.  On Slimming World extra easy fish is usually free, but smoked mackerel has some syns - maybe because it is so moreish.

Lunch in total was 5 slimming world syns.

Breakfast - toast with tinned mackerel in tomato sauce.

Breakfast - 1 slice of wholemeal toast with 1 tsp of butter (I use a scoop measure to make sure this is accurate - 2 slimming world syns) and tinned mackerel in a tomato sauce.  The clementine turned out to be past its best so I had a few strawberries too.   2 syns in total.

I find I don't really need to bother with butter for a lot of toast toppings, but a little bit makes all the difference with this one.

Meringue with lemon yogurt and strawberries

Two sainsburys meringue nests (5 slimming world syns) topped with total 0 greek yoghurt flavoured with lemon juice and zest and stevia, and some chopped strawberries.  5 syns in total.

Not totally healthy as I usually like to avoid very sugary foods, but nice to incorporate into my plan occasionally.

Food diary

Breakfast - poached egg on wholemeal toast with tomato ketchup - 1 syn

Lunch - wholemeal sandwich (3) with tinned salmon mixed with lemon juice and quark & lettuce. Mango and strawberry slices with mint and a mullerlight yogurt with black cherry underlayer (2) - 5 syns in total.

Dinner - 2 quorn sausages and sweet potato wedges sprayed with frylight and oven baked.  baked beans, 2 eggs fried with frylight and tomato ketchup (1).  Weight watchers fromage frais dessert (1).  8 syn today so far in total.
